Volunteers are the backbone of all successful organizations. In addition to the RACE in the Park, our largest fundraiser, held the day before Mother’s Day, volunteers are needed year-round. We are looking for some super and committed volunteers to help in our mission to make a difference locally in our fight against Breast Cancer. Do you have a special interest or skill? Children’s Events – Plan and organize year-round events involving families.
College Committee – Reach out and support female sport teams at area universities/ colleges to plan fundraisers.
Data Base Maintenance – We need to review our donor and participant data base for accuracy and currency. There are over 25,000 names and addresses that need to be checked and verified. There’s lots of volunteer work here!
Event Planning / Fund Raising Committee – Plan and organize events and reach out to the community to plan fundraisers. Brainstorm creative ways for the various committees to raise funds.
General Volunteer – Be notified when there is an opportunity to volunteer.
Graphic Artist/Photoshop Expert – Help us with graphics for the web and publications.
High School Committee – Reach out to area high schools to plan and organize fundraisers.
Memorial Committee – Create avenues to help raise funds in memory of a loved one.
Office Help/ Clerical / Computer – Available during the day to assist at busy times in the office.
Publicity Committee – Help promote CT BHI and its events state-wide. Distribute promotional materials, seek opportunities for CT BHI officers to speak to various groups, and make contacts.
Sponsor Committee – Contact and follow-up on potential sponsors for CT BHI events.
Survivor Activities – Plan activities that reach out and support survivors. Network with survivors to help with fund raising and promotion of statewide educational events that might be of interest.
Team Development/ Support Committee – Contact businesses/ community organizations, etc. about forming a team and supporting them during the process.
Town Ambassador Committee – Promote CT BHI and its events in your town, including distributing promotional materials. Assist in developing creative ways to raise funds in your community.
